what's your Christmas routine?

just wondering.
basically we stay up on Christmas Eve, eat dinner, get dressed, and go to midnight Mass. after the service, we go home and open presents. the little ones go to bed around two or three a.m., while the rest of us watch movies or just talk

and drink eggnog. we do this every year, i don't remember a year when i didn't. i can't imagine sleeping and waking up on Christmas Day at, like, nine to open presents and go to church then. but, that's just me. i'm a night owl, so i guess that's why.

how about you? what's your christmas routine like? any family traditions or special things you must do every year? ;) i'd love to know!

love love love! MJ

  1. I've always wondered about midnight Mass, but never knew it was *actually* at midnight! Growing up, I was always told to be in bed early so that Santa could come xD
Growing up, I didn't have anything special, other than waking up Christmas morning (about 6 or so) and opening presents with family, and then going to my dad's family for the day to see them and have Christmas dinner.
As an adult, me and my Mister normally go to his parent's house (its a bit of a drive, though!).

Merry Christmas to you and your family!!

    1. Hi Jessica! Thank for the comment! <3
Ha ha, yes, it's at midnight. I never really had a "Santa" kind of stage--right off the bat my older siblings let me know about that!
Oh, that sounds lovely :) I think that time spent with family is always special :)
That's so nice! Merry Christmas to you and your family as well! <3

  2. That sounds amazing! I don't really have many Christmas traditions, the only things that stay the same are going to church and opening presents ♥

  3. What we do is wakeup, open presents and just spend the day being lazy haha. Playing board games and watching lots of television!

  4. Hi MJ, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas... traditions are lovely to have, I usually stay up late watching 'It's a wonderful life', and wrapping gifts.... then both my girls woke up early for Christmas, this year it was 4 am for Valentina ;) She was just super excited ;)
